Infant / Toddler Programs & Curriculum

Infants:
Our Wonderful Babies program is designed to provide a warm, welcoming environment where your baby can thrive and grow from a bundle of joy to a bundle of curiosity. In this loving, healthy, safe place, your baby will receive individualized attention for development, care and play. Your baby’s primary caregiver is a nurturing child development professional focused on keeping your baby happy, engaged and secure.

We develop a personal care plan for each infant based on his/her unique schedule, nutritional guidelines and any other special attention he/she requires. Your baby will experience an environment that invites exploration, celebrates each milestone, and supports his or her exciting progression through babyhood.

Each infant program is designed for babies too:

[*]        Make sense of the world by exploring a rich sensory environment of stimulating sights, sounds, textures, and sensations

[*]        Discover & develop all bodily powers in soft, safe surroundings – to roll over and pull up, to creep and crawl, and to step out into the world

[*]        Connect deeply with a caring community and form relationships that foster security and trust

[*]        Learn to communicate, surrounded by wonderful conversations, poetry, fingerplays, singing, reading, and lots of smiles and hugs

[*]        Discover how things work with quality educational materials and learning experiences that spark and satisfy their natural curiosity

Toddlers:
Our program is designed to adapt the curriculum to each individual child’s age and stage. Teachers in the toddler classroom promote emotional, physical, social, and intellectual development in a fun, engaging environment by:

[*]        Targeting the changing needs of children ages 12 months to 2 years

[*]        Presenting age-appropriate learning opportunities to encourage individual skills and independent choices.

[*]        Nurturing each individual child to build upon his/her strengths and encouraging exploration of their world using paint, water, board books, and more.

[*]        Creating learning centers that include language and reading, construction, math, fine motor, art, dramatic play, science and sensory exploration, and outdoor learning.

[*]        Providing activities to develop motor skills such as climbing and throwing

[*]        Establishing a relaxed environment to accommodate the unique disposition of the age group while fostering self-confidence and self-help skills

[*]        Offering opportunities for success that help toddlers build the confidence needed to reach their potential and prepare for preschool

Preschool & Pre-K

Preschool & Pre-Kindergarten

Preschool (late 2's to early 3's):
At this age, they are eager to investigate the workings of their expanding world and experiment with their emerging sense of skills mastery.
It is a time of enormous strides—when communication and conceptual thinking and the development of self and social skills flourish.

The program prepares children for kindergarten and beyond, with the skills and confidence needed for a lifetime of academic success.
Our preschool and pre-kindergarten curriculum engage children intellectually, physically, emotionally, and socially. They offer a rich variety
of projects and activities that build upon established foundations for learning, with specific focus on advancing language ability, mathematical reasoning, and scientific thought. Children develop through independent work and in small groups, both in carefully-planned discovery centers and guided learning experiences.

Creating multi-disciplinary learning centers that encourage individual skills, emerging interests in the areas of creative expression, literacy, language, handwriting, math/manipulatives, technology, art, dramatic play, and outdoor learning.

School Age

School Age:
Our program recognizes the growing physical, intellectual, and social competence of the increasingly independent school-age child.
Eager to achieve socially and academically while expanding their knowledge of the world.

Five to twelve (5- 12)-year-olds are seeking new challenges, close friendships, and increasing responsibilities. Our program offers enriching learning opportunities in a fun environment for maturing school-age children. This includes before-school and after-school care, school closings, and exciting summer day programs for children up to age 12. This is a program that balances time to learn with time to play with friends and finishing homework with sports and other physical activities. At this stage of childhood education, children want to discover who they are and to pursue their own interests. They want opportunities to create things, explore acting and drama, master computers, discover new books and construct imaginary worlds with recycled materials. Whenever school is out, our program is there to encourage a child’s drive to learn through the new challenges and opportunities that celebrate their expanding world.
